Edit or delete a route in your Site

Editing and deleting routes looks different depending on whether monitoring is switched on for your route.

Updated over a week ago

Need to make changes to your existing route? Thinking about the best design of your route to generate your monitoring and reporting requirements?

Read each of the sections below that guide routes still in the planning phase (monitoring is not switched on yet) vs. routes with live monitoring switched on.

1. Editing and deleting routes (prior to live monitoring)

Any user with edit access to a site can edit or delete a route - prior to monitoring being live. Follow the steps to editing a route prior to live monitoring:

  1. On the left Side Toolbar, within Edit, you can edit and delete routes. On the map you will visually see the roads and key routes that will be monitored.

  2. Scroll down the list and select 'Routes'.

  3. Select the route in question

  4. Under 'Options' click 'Edit'

  5. The map points will appear for you to drag and drop to a new destination.

2. Editing and deleting routes (when live monitoring is on)

Once monitoring is live and you wish to edit or delete a route, please use the in app chat service or contact customer success team to support you to do so. This will ensure we can make adjustments without interfering with any of your intended reporting, layout and dataset.

Scenarios where this may be required

There are many situations you may want to edit to add a new route to a site that already exists;

  • You forgot a route when creating a site;

  • There has been a change in requirements;

  • An incident at the site has occurred;

  • Project impact to the community is wider than first anticipated;

  • And many more...

A user may also want to edit a current route to;

  • Increase the length;

  • Change the name;

  • Change the position;

  • Delete an unnecessary route.
