Setting up Automated notifications in the Operations hub

Within the Operations hub, it is possible to set up automated notifications to shift contacts. The use cases for these notifications range from setting reminders of work times, scheduling mid-shift check-ins and warning when shifts are due to end.

To set up automated notifications, go to the Operations hub and click on the notification settings tab at the top of the screen.

Start by selecting the Programme that you would like to create the notification for by clicking on the applicable tab.

You'll then see a popup asking for your required settings.

Give your notification a name.

You'll then be able to decide whether your notification is time based or location based.

These notifications will be triggered by a particular time in relation to the shift.

These notifications will trigger based on the location of the user in relation to the location of the shift. You are able to select the distance that the shift contact is from the location for triggering the notification.

There may be a situation where you only want to send a notification based on time or distance and the status of the shift is "Not yet started".

This removes the advent of noisy notifications and shift-contacts being reminded of work about to start when they may have already started the shift.

It's possible to require a response within a selected time frame when a notification is sent. If a message has not been received from the shift-contact within the given time-frame, you will be notified by the Shift being raised to the top of the Action Required section of the Operations hub.

In order to reduce the amount of time required for shift-contacts to be in the app, Mooven offers the ability to set up default responses. These can be up to 18 characters and we suggest offering options for affirmative, negative and query default responses.

Upon saving your notification, it will automatically be put into effect.
