Adding Users
Updated over 9 months ago

Whether you're launching a new site, welcoming new colleagues to your team, or collaborating with contractors and stakeholders who require access to monitor your project, Mooven offers the flexibility to seamlessly add new users and edit user permissions whenever needed.

Discover how to do so with ease using our self-service feature by following these steps:

  1. In the top-right settings area, you are able to invite users to your project.

  2. Go to Settings, then Team Settings in the top right - this is where you can manage who has access to your organisation's sites.

  3. Decide whether these will be team members or guests.

    1. Team members - can see everything within your account i.e. if you create other projects in the future they'll have full visibility of them. Typically these are people you work with on a regular basis.

    2. Guests - just that particular location. Particular pieces of work or external parties who only need to see specific pieces of the worksite or information.

  4. Select either team member or guest in the toggle bar.

  5. Enter email address.

  6. Click Send Invite.

  7. User activates their account.

Each user will receive an invitation link via email and then fill in their First Name, Last Name, and Password. They will then be prompted to enter their phone number to set up 2-factor authentication. Read more about the user permissions between Editor and Viewer here.

Tips to Adding Users and Sharing Views

  • Review permissions regularly - make sure to add users only to the site they should have visibility on. One of Mooven's many strengths is the ability to add an uncapped number of users. This provides transparency for everyone involved in a project whether that be

    • Asset owners

    • Project owners

    • Traffic managers

    • Construction team

    • or anyone else interested in the outcome of a project.

However, with the ability to full self-serve and create sites, often users will need to have varying levels of permissions and feature access.

  • User terminology - team members can access all sites while guests are invited to individual sites. If you are only temporarily sharing project information, a shared tailored view may be an easier way to communicate targeting information.

  • Editing users - You can edit users, user permissions or shared views at any time or stage of your Mooven experience. Our customers find this can be particularly useful in the planning stages of a project when various parties can experiment with detours and potential roads of impact.. .or in the delivery stages when you want to share a tailored view of your project KPIs with a team or stakeholder.
